Valentine’s Day Craft Ideas for Kids
With Valentine’s Day coming up we might be thinking about rushing out to the store to buy Valentine’s day cards or gifts for the ones we love. We all know this day can tend to get expensive, but it doesn’t have to be. If you are looking to save a little money and keep the kids busy for a while why not try some DIY Valentine’s Day crafts. The kids will not only have fun making them, but once crafts are completed, they become wonderful, thoughtful gifts!
Below I put together a couple Valentine’s Day craft ideas. I personally have two toddlers whose attention span is very limited so creating elaborate projects is out of the question, so the ones below are easy to complete and require very little set up. I have also added a couple links at the bottom for additional Valentine’s Day craft ideas for kids, which includes some of the more elaborate ones.
Handprint Valentine
This is such a simple craft but turns into a wonderful Valentine’s Day card and something you can keep for a long time! You can download the printable card from Mommy’s Bundle. Then all you need is washable red paint and a heart sticker.
Paper Hug Craft
This is an awesome craft for families of various ages, as it is very easy to make this craft much more elaborate by adding glitter, lace, buttons, etc. This also makes a cute Valentine for someone you love. For the tutorial on how to make this, check out NoTimeForFlashCards.com.
Valentine’s Day Cookies!
Instead of buying a box of chocolates why not make a batch of Valentine’s Day cookies! Your kids will love helping decorate them and you can even personalize each cookie with a cute saying. You can find some really good recipes online the one pictured below is from SallysBakingAddiction.com.
